I regret to inform all Mercs and Guests that the Huntington Beach field is officially and permanently closed. We can spend the rest of our lives pointing fingers at others for not abiding by the rules but the INEVITABLE has happened sooner than later. We do have other fields we can play at. HB was our home but without a legitimate pemit from the city (which is least likely to ever happen) they won't allow us back there. They will confiscate your airsoft guns and will fine you. Had I been out there with you guys this would've happened to me because my name has already been on record for a warning. I advise anyone on this website to NOT go out there anymore. The residents are aware of our presence there. Saturdays and Sundays airsoft will now take place at HSP or other fields TBA. Complaining and retaliating will not be tolerated as a MERC. To lift our spirits a bit, Your squad leaders and I have been compiling a roster to those who have shown dedication and respect to us and the team. This Roster will entitle you to play airsoft at a discounted rate at Hollywood Sports Park all day. Dedication??? Mercs who have consistently come out to events, come to the HSP Airsoft Committee meetings when I've asked, or have taken care of responsibilities and tasks for the team to help me out. I want to be able to share this privilege with everyone but as massive as our team is, I've been only granted a limited amount of passes. Emailing us, calling us, trying to convince us will not change our decisions. We've seen the dedication everyone's put forth and they will be rewarded as promised. Thank you all, -Tommy aka TreeTrunkz

"Hello Airsofters, First I wanted to Thank all those guys who cleaned up the trash left in the HB Field. We're not sure if there were people down there messing up our Staging area or if it was coyotes digging through the trash. Either way we should do our best to clean up after ourselves and each other. Try to be courteous to the field as well as other people and their belongings. Rule of thumb to remember is "if it isn't yours, don't touch it".. unless it's trash. If something is found, give it to someone that attends the field regularly so we can find it's rightful owner. Last thing you want to do is sport something that the other person knows where you got it... If something is Lost let us know and we'll do our best to retrieve it. Feel free to message me if these things do happen. "SURRENDER" Telling someone to surrender is being really NICE. If you're told to surrender (within 15 feet and they've got a clear shot) raise your gun up like a man and walk yourself off the field. Remember had it been you, you'd want the person to do the same. If you're unsure about being hit, the best thing to do is just call yourself out. Lastly the most confusing. Ricochet shots (firing through brush or trees) DO NOT COUNT, however, if the impact feels a bit harder than a bb thrown at you, call yourself out. Airsofting is based on the honor system and it's hard to make judgement calls. Something to keep in mind is that you're playing with friends and we're all out there to have fun. Thank you guys and I can't wait to Airsoft with you all again. Everyone's doing a great job. -Tommy "TreeTrunkz"
